LVDT Manufacturer

Motion Sensors is a brand of Sentech Inc, a global leader in precision position sensing technology since 1988. Sentech’s brand of LVDT and RVDT product line of engineered sensors is trusted by aerospace, defense, space, and power generation / energy industries worldwide.

LVDT Product Line

Linear Variable Differential Transformers deliver accurate, repeatable position measurement without mechanical contact between components. This frictionless operation eliminates wear and ensures stable output throughout the sensor’s lifetime.

Sentech manufactures LVDTs and RVDTs for environments where failure isn’t an option, from critical aircraft flight controls to nuclear turbine systems. Every unit is built under our ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 Rev D certified quality system.

Custom LVDTs & RVDTs Available

Most orders involve some level of customization. We routinely modify mounting styles, electrical terminations, stroke lengths, diameters, and materials to match your exact requirements. Miniaturized designs, extended temperature ranges, RTCA DO-160 and MIL-SPEC electronics packages are available.

Performance Capabilities

Sentech LVDTs accommodate strokes as short as 0.005″ for precision gauging or as long as 70″ for large-scale positioning. Standard linearity is ±0.25% of full scale, with temperature ratings spanning -65°F to +400°F.

For safety-critical systems, we offer multi-channel configurations with 2, 3, or 4 channels in a single housing, providing redundancy in critical applications.

Where They’re Used

Our LVDTs and RVDTs operate in commercial aircraft actuators, defense systems, gas, nuclear, and steam turbine controls, hydraulic cylinders, subsea equipment, automated manufacturing lines, and test & measurement setups across dozens of industries.
