Electronics Technician

    Position Summary:

    Individual will be responsible for acceptance testing of various sensors and electronics assemblies using a variety of equipment. Technician will use measuring and diagnostic tools to test, troubleshoot and modify electronic parts.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In process and final testing of sensors and related electronics, electronic components, and subassemblies to established technical and quality standards.
  • Assembly of PCB boards, both production and prototyping, via manual and automated methods, to include programming of PCB Assembly machines (PnP, Flying Probe, AOI)
  • Troubleshoot PCB boards down to component level and rework
  • Perform failure analysis activities to determine root cause and assist with development and implementation of corrective actions
  • Perform electronics assembly activities as required to support production requirements
  • Prototype and testing of various design elements, to include coil winding design, mechanical design, and electronics design
  • Develop and implement assembly and test processes, including new product design/pilot run/first articles, process re-engineering, and continuous improvement activities
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting/repair of various pieces of equipment throughout the facility
  • Support Engineering department in product development (R&D) and customer support activities as required
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Qualifications:

  • Excellent soldering skills, IPC J-STD-001 experience/training preferred
  • Experience reading schematic, prints, etc.
  • Skilled in use of standard electronics test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, function generator, power supply, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with ISO 9001 environment and quality requirements preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications. Capability with 2D/3D drawing programs a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Apprenticeship or formal training in electronics tech and/or demonstrated work experience.
  • 4+ years of work experience in related role preferred

  • Benefits, Schedule and Pay:

  • Benefits include 3 weeks PTO, company supplemented health insurance, 401-K with company match and profit sharing.
  • Four day work week, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 – 5:30 with 30 minute lunch
  • $22-$28/hr, depending upon qualifications and experience


  • Drug testing required.
